Diaspora has priority in acquiring new documents

Assistant Minister Vukman Krivokuća met today with the head of administrative affairs at the Serbian Interior Ministry Zorica Lončar Kasalica. The meeting was organized regarding the initiative of the Ministry for Diaspora to make it possible for Serbs living abroad to submit urgent applications for new passports and ID cards during Easter Holidays and the summer, when many of them visit Serbia.
Kasalica said that the Interior Ministry is aware of the problem and that certain measures have already been taken, adding that all police departments in Serbia have been notified and they will give priority to applications for passports and ID cards submitted by Serbs from diaspora. Serbs living abroad are requested to verify their current status and submit urgent applications to department officials.
